No Savoie though I guess
Do we know if Savoie applied for a waiver?
Maybe it's not that bad for a thing if Savoie stays in WHL?
Savoie is in a different situation than Wright.Do we know if Savoie applied for a waiver?
For Blue Jackets and Mike Babcock, the standard is perfection
For Mike Babcock, part of the appeal of returning to the NHL in Columbus was that it was out of the spotlight. Just before training camp opens, however, the coach is at the centre of another firestorm.www.sportsnet.ca
I do not get why asking players and staff to show pictures of their families and talk about them is this big issue.
People oftentimes love to talk about their families.
It seems like a natural thing when trying to get to know people. I've been asked for pictures at work and it was never a weird thing. It's not their place to ask, if they voluntarily wanted to show them then that's different.

You were not in the room, so I do not know why you are saying they did not have a choice. The players that are going on the record are not saying that it was "hand over your phone or else" like it is being framed.Ask to show or do you want to share or show us is another. They should have a choice which seems they really didn't even though they are adults.

Well, these guys were in the room:Well either we're you so we can just guess or have an opinion. I do find it weird and I would guess some of the players thought it was as well.
Columbus captain Boone Jenner followed saying Babcock “asked if I had pictures of my family, and I was happy to share some with him. He showed me pictures of his family. I thought it was a great first meeting and good way for us to start to build a relationship. To have this blown out of proportion is truly disappointing.”
You’ll hear his full comments on a Wednesday drop of the 32 Thoughts podcast, but at the NHL-NHLPA media tour, Johnny Gaudreau backed Jenner.
"It was (Babcock’s) way of kinda getting to know me, and I got to get to know him," the winger said. "I wasn't uncomfortable at all. I was showing him pictures of my family. If I had (a) problem with it, I would've been like, 'I don't think I'm comfortable with that.' But I had no problem with it.”
Asked if any teammates indicated to him they were uncomfortable, Gaudreau replied, “Not a single person.”
NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly said that initial reports to the league weren’t “remotely similar” to what was alleged, while the NHLPA indicated it continues to investigate the allegation.
He did that since he was in Detroit. If it was bad it would have probably blown up when they kicked him out of Toronto.Well, these guys were in the room:
This is most likely just Biz overstating stuff to get attention.

I think that is likely why Biz put it out there. He knew so many people would not question the source when they could get the pitchforks out for Babcock. If that's what happened then great. I'm just hearing what was reported right or wrong and having an opinion on it. Also I'm not just going give Mike Babcock of all people.the benefit of the doubt either.
I don't like Babs for what he pulled of with the sabres but Biznasty and Mike Commodore are not exactly trustworthy people either. If that's what happened then great.
