Same here! I like to challenge myself by trying not to pick the obvious names, but sometimes I just can't think of anyone. Only 3 of my picks were the most popular, but I also had a 0.5%, 2%, and 3% guess as well (and the 2% one really shocked me that he was that low...).

This is a rare case of an entire 8 year, $80 million dollar contract and a two year, $14 million dollar extension for a 35 year old being actually worth it. He's been their leading scorer for 15 of the last 16 years.

That feels like an absolutely insane stat.

Never tried before. Fun! Lacking in Vancouver trivia apparently.

Where is the 2023 summer trade market?

Not just Buffalo...no one's doing anything...and some teams SHOULD have urgency to be selling.

The teams inclined to "buy" have no cap space. The teams inclined to "sell" are demanding high prices.

And then you get the clusterf***s in Calgary and Winnipeg who have moveable pieces but want hockey deals......and then cap comes into play there.

And THEN you've got murmurs about some of the players who are available wanting too much money, too much term or both to extend.

All leads to a lack of movement

F*CK. This one hurts.

The speed at which he could carry the puck through the neutral zone and then peel off to the right side board as soon as there was a defender in front of him...how do they replace that?? The Sabres don't have anyone who's shown the ability to avoid the front of the net like Hino, and that's going to be missed.

Total gut-punch. Off-season's ruined.

Per Russian hockey agent Sergei Fedotov, the 18-year-old had no desire to be drafted by Washington. He didn't want to go to the Arizona Coyotes, either.

"There was no desire to be in Arizona... Michkov didn't want to get to Washington," Fedotov said in an interview with Sport-Express, adding, "I was asked if Matvei regrets not having gone to Washington... He didn't want to go to Washington."

"Arizona and Washington are the two clubs that are exactly [what he wanted to avoid] for various reasons," Fedotov added.
