I detest Vegas and Florida looks pathetic, completely the opposite of the previous 3 rounds. A damned 6 year expansion team can win a cup we can't even make the playoffs. Fn embarrassing.

The pain makes the joy sweeter. We have a good young team, I’m convinced they’ll be a contender for the next 1-5 years. I could do without douche Eich winning, but whatever. Hope we break em next year.

Good god is this an all time beat down.

Every analyst points out Vegas has no holes.

No one mentions the two reasons that is.

1. They’re a billion dollars over the cap because the league encourages cheating

2. They have every team‘s 4th best D or 9th/11th best player overall on the bottom of their lineup.

Every team is playing by the same cap rule. The NHL and owners can choose to change this if they want, they haven't.
Not every team is brazenly pretending a player magically heals the moment the cap turns off.

Just because the rules have a loophole doesn’t make using it a magnanimous act

plus…if every team was playing by the same cap rule taxes would be taken into account so every dollar was equal. So that‘s not even true

What do you put the odds at that this is the year the hockey media notices Sabres never congratulate the cup winner at the draft and make a story out of it? They don’t thank the host city either. Didn’t do either 3 times last year. But I bet if they don’t this year we’ll read all about it.

I still yearn for the days of Tim Murray announcing our pick in the fewest words possible.

I haven’t watched one game of this final. I despise these two teams. I‘m not gonna watch the Cup presentation, nor read in all the trades over the next week about Eichel and the “amazing” Knights.
Just get this shit show over with, and get on with the offseason prep to the 23-24 season.
