Vegas let the Sharks tie it with 1 second left Sunday then went 0-3 in the shootout

Then let Dallas tie it twice tonight and then went 0-7 in the shootout.

Vegas tried to pull a Tampa, but what they didn’t consider is that Tampa’s core had already been playing together for years. Vegas disrupted the chemistry too much and it bit them in the ass.

Between trying to circumvent the cap and then trading for Eichel, I say good riddance, and hopefully that’s a lesson to the rest of the NHL (it probably won’t be since it’s a dumb league with dumb executives).

Not saying this is incorrect, but the Vegas ethos of "get every good player at all times no matter the cost" is driven by their owner, not so much McCrimmon.

I’m sure he’s still hurt and they rushed him back, but Mark Stone also shit the bed for Vegas, 1 assist in 8 games since returning.

Eichel is Strome*2. He scores in meaningless games against weak teams when it doesn't matter. Except it might be worse then Strome, cause he carries himself like, and for some reason teams think that, he is a go-to #1 that will carry a franchise like Crosby/MacKinnon/McDavid/Ovechkin. His is not that guy. At least Strome's production is a bonus. I hope he never plays for the Rangers, at any cost.

Also, Vegas traded away all the wrong players, the ones that made their locker room a good unit, and brought in guys from bad locker rooms and bad teams. Should have kept guys like Reaves, Tuch, Fleury, Schmidt, etc.. I am not a fan of Lehner, Eichel, Dadonov.

I'm going to be hit-the-roof mad if we get Washington again.

We already play them tomorrow!

It's going to be two full weeks of looking at Ovechkin's homeless dad beard.

So you prefer to play Pittsburgh, then?

I'm sick of both teams. I swear there was a period of at least 5 years where we played them every playoffs.

Pittsburgh, Tampa, Washington, Boston, in that order.

Washington and Boston played very well to end the season. Pittsburgh not so much. I also think the last two teams have a much better chance of upsetting Carolina in the 1st round if they draw them and the Rangers can get their business done.

I'm going to laugh so hard if Boston wins out and Tampa loses out the rest of the season and it's Toronto-Boston in the 1st round again. Carolina-Tampa or Carolina-Washington and Florida-Tampa or Florida-Washington can get really spicy. A lot of potential for upsets there.

I'll be watching Caps-Piles just because it's on the local feed here in DC. I'll relay whatever news there is about the Caps and especially Ovi. Not sure what the latest is, but last I saw Ovi was still iffy for Game 1.

NHL interviewing John Hamm Blues diehard fan. He was hilarious pretending to be Larry David on Curb. I hope he is back for season 12. Go Rangers.

Robin Salo just stepped down on Adam Pelech's ACL/MSL ankle area with his skate or actually it might be the lower leg. Pelech rushes off in quite the distress.

Looks like it could be a pretty catastrophic injury if the cut went right through.
