I would rather play the Caps although neither team will be an easy out. EDIT: I just saw that Ovi got hurt. Now I really want to play the Caps.

Probably the hardest part of that scenario is the Canucks going 3-0 lol.
They are pretty gassed after a long stretch of games trying to get back into the race.

They looked gassed. Goalies are trash
they can be run out of the arena with physical play, though they are really fast and like to storm the offensive zone.. they try to play like you can’t hit what you can’t catch
really good team though
 
I've been seeing/saying it all year. Vegas is bad. They have zero structure or team defense.... It's made even worse with no goalie.

After finishing top 10 in xGA/60 every year of their existence and allowing the fewest goals in the league last year, the Knights plummeted to 24th in xGA/60.

They thought they could just cruise because they ostensibly have the roster now. They got away from the gameplan that got them to the dance with underwhelming rosters on paper.

Also, Eichel sucks at defense.

They were a great defensive team under DeBoer and DeBoer has had great defensive teams in NJ and SJ.

They just thought their farts didn't stink and they would get to the playoffs just by showing up. They tried to kucherov Stone and brought him back when they were in trouble. You're not Tampa. You were never good enough to make it just by showing up.
 
Pacioretty, Stone, Martinez and Smith also missed significant time.

Talk about the randomness/unpredictability of shooting percentage--Howden is shooting 23.1% this year for Vegas after shooting 3% for the Rangers last year.

I would love to see them against tampa. Everybody's on vasilevskys dick now but he and the lighting got swept by columbus right before their cups... They're human too. It'll come down to matthews. For me that's the fun question: which wins out, tmls pathetic history or mathews brilliance?

They had elite goaltending for a prolonged stretch to start the year before campbell got hurt and was playing through the rib injury for weeks.
