The what a shame is a dig at their fanbase and social media persona. That's why I said "panic for the caniacs -> what a shame"
Not digging on Raanta getting hurt. I don't shit on guys getting hurt, but nice try.

What try? You say what a shame and I'm supposed to crack some code that you invented. If you don't want people to interpret your posts as taking a dig at Raanta's injury make it more clear instead of giving me sass and insinuating that I'm trying to get you in some way.

I didn't create the code. "Caniacs" is how they refer to their fair-weather fanbase. Everything from their social media to the "storm surge" "Go back to bashing goalies" would be giving you sass ;)

if PIT can come back to win against PHI then the 1st round match up is pretty set.

They aren't going to, and that gives WSH 2 games in hand and only down by a point...and they are playing the Isles back to back. A loss for Pit today is pretty much a lock for Rangers vs Caps because Pit will probably get stomped vs the Oilers on Tuesday for another loss.

PIT is up by 2 points with the tie breaker.

4 games left for the Caps, only two left for PIT after today, if they lose to Philly it’s probably going to be the Caps, they will probably go 4-0 this week.
we'll see. they're playing the leafs tonight. If they lose this one, they will have to win the next one, their game in hand on PIT, just to tie PIT in points but still behind by tie breaker.

You could be right they could go 4-0 but believe it or not Toronto does have something to play for tonight The last thing they want to do is keep losing and go into playoffs on a bit of a downturn and possibly losing home ice to TB. That would be pretty bad for them IMO. Also if GG plays a full lineup at home vs the Caps the final game of the season that won't be an easy game for them as well.

Yea, Leafs could win tonight, but quick turnaround from playing a tough one last night in Florida, no Muzzin, Bunting or Tavares, and they are starting Kallgren in net.

Interesting hand pass review in the leafs-caps game.
Don't see many of those.

Barry Melrose does not look well.
He did a game recently with Levy to throw it back to late 00s ESPN. He was not good and I too think he's unfortunately in bad shape. Seeing the studio work now, he seems to have a script in his head and doesn't deviate from, regardless of the question.

ESPN also has to see it. Wonder if he's going be ushered out this year. I also think Kevin Weekes will be at the forefront of their coverage as soon as next year. He's on a meteoric rise. He breaks deals. His contact list must have gotten a huge bump once ESPN signed him.

Ovie to the locker room after crashing into the boards, shoulder first.
