Know it’s a totally different story When a team is already out of it and have no expectations but they look half decent.

Samuelsson is terrible, but the rest of that D looks pretty good.

They're going to challenge for a playoff spot next year if they can get better goaltending. They're a team with good depth that works hard.

Eichel being dealt also looks fantastic for their locker room. They're not playing like anything is looming over them anymore.

100%. I said this in another thread: no one wants to play for the Devils or sign with them because they are afraid of no living up to their great legacy. So every win, every goal, is by a player who HATES being there. That is an amazing accomplishment and speaks volumes to the power of the organization. Ty Smith is better than Adam Fox
