You still don’t question the efficacy of the vaccines ability to prevent transmissions, even with 100% of the NFL and upwards of 97% of the NHL “Fully Vaccinated” (ten boosters or how ever many they’re up to, for now)? Yet here we are, on the verge of another shutdown.

Virulent means stronger/more dangerous. Which Omnicron has not bourne out. It is, however, much more transmissible. As you can see with the spike in cases, vaccinated or not.

The crazed hysteria needs to end, and we need to accept the fact that we are just going to have to live with this, just like the Flu. The vast majority of the measures they’ve put in place have done little to nothing to slow the spread.

Omicron looks so far to be much less letal, but much easier transmitted. Here in Norway Omicron is stating to take over, and with 72,3% of the population(of total population age 0-110) having recieved 2 doses the hospitals are starting to getting overwhelmed. Omicron is just that
more easily transmitted. Also, of the total amount of people hospitalized of the virus half is unvaccinated adults. Had 100% of the adults been vaccinated the hospitals would not be pressed, and we would not had to shut down again. Get the vaccines if you can.

Just as a anonymeus nurse said to the news:
"Strangely enough is none of the anti-vaxers, that is anti-treatment. Here in the hospital we fill them up with all kind of drugs and preparates, but not a single protest".

Or the Omicron strain is simply more virulent but less lethal. The virus mutating into less deadly strains is the path to the end of the pandemic (like with the "Spanish" flu).

Or perhaps people have developed a natural immunity which also appears to be exponentially better than the vaccine, but somehow, is inexplicably never factored into the discussions.

Or maybe the fact is there is no such thing as 'natural immunity'. 'Natural immunity' meant you contracted COVID, and if you were unvaccinated, you had a very measurable and provable worse statistical outcome in severity, hospitalization rate, and death.

If you are to contract COVID, the best outcome is where you suffer the least adverse medical affect, and that group just happens to be vaccinated. The added bonus is people who have had COVID and are fully vaccinated, show the highest levels of antibodies.

Very much hoping the many players that got the J&J vaccine (since it had the 'easiest' vaccination schedule) are taking this break in the schedule to get much stronger protection via booster/mRNA vaccines.

The Hasidic and Amish communities have the lowest rates if new infection but you don't read about that because natural immunity from previous infection doesn't sell re-up vaccines in a nationally mandatory Healthcare system.
