I wonder if a team in Atlanta would work? Just spitballing.
What would that team even look like?

I did a quick mockup in MS Paint. Let me know what you think.

So what do we think Fox’s odds of repeating as Norris winner are at this point?

The odds are pretty good if the reigning winner leads all defenseman in points the next year, but who knows with these voters. Lundqvist probably deserved 5+ Vezinas and he only has one.

The voters can return to form and make it the most points by a dman. Should be based on overall contribution though. That might take Fox out of it but he is way more qualified than Makar.

EDIT: I remember it was a post-game clip of Dom handing Nash the Broadway Hat and someone was yelling the nickname off-screen at him when others were applauding. It was Game 4 vs Tampa in the ECF in 2015.

Pretty wild how low-key the nickname was, and I feel like an insiderrrrrr for knowing it. Mods pls verify me thanks.

I remember it being a clip from a practice and he scored a fancy-ish goal and the guys were calling him this from the bench.

Hearing anything about RW trade targets?

I was talking about how Eakins was encouraging his young players to try things and how different that approach seemed to be under DQ a few weeks ago.... saw this today and found it funny

Not that I hate DQ like some around here, just makes you think about what he was telling Kakko and some of the other younger guys. We all gush over Zegras, but he likely gets the same short leash if he was a Ranger.

Under DQ, Zegras would have been benched for a period and then demoted to the 4th line after that play.

This is why DQ doesn’t have a coaching job, and with all these ex-coaches with their nay saying on this play, really rooting for Eakins to take the Ducks to the playoffs this year. Eakins had no issue with the play said it was not a dangerous play, and encourages creativity and lets his players play their game.

Senyshyen requesting a trade from Boston. Debrusk earlier. Boston destroyed their future with that 2015 draft. Also I guess it’s not as easy as everyone says to develop forwards

Yeah well Hasidim have dramatically higher death rates than national average using this exact logic that "they kept together cause they all had antibodies now" so try again.

I don't know about the death rates but I sure as hell know living near them, the positivity rate is often some of the highest in the city wherever the Hassidim are.

Just commenting that we’re not the only team that struggles with it

When we develop a forward that is half as good as David Pastrnak, maybe we can be compared to Boston.

Seriously - not asking for much here. Half as good and we’re not even capable of that.
