Senyshyen requesting a trade from Boston. Debrusk earlier. Boston destroyed their future with that 2015 draft. Also I guess it’s not as easy as everyone says to develop forwards

Dudes, go look back at that draft. Bruins had three f***ing 1st rd picks in a row.

They draft DeBrusk, Zboril and Senyshyn (big time reach) ... next three picks off the board (!!): Matt Barzal, Kyle Connor and Thomas Chabot!!!

In hindsight someone needs to be electrocuted.

The Bruins need to deal Bergeron to restock....a 3 for 1 deal . They will be listening .

So...is it development or scouting ? Any updated graph on drafted kids and now playing in the NHL as to which teams are winner and or losers and the positioning in the drafts ? I doubt any club has a great record or one that much better than another . Anyone ?

Imo it's many factors, scouting, development, the actual player and person.
Plus you can't project the actual development, you have to scout certain things (like work-ethic, drive, determination, call it what you will) and have a proper staff to develop the players.
It's a mixed bag but there are determined factors, I'm certain of that. Approximating those determined factor is what the scouting department should also do.

So imo, in the Bruins' case of 2015, it is scouting and what they scout(ed) for. The Bruins always seem to look for that grit and draft tough kids accordingly.
Maybe in 2015 there were looking for a right handed sniper and thus drafted Senyshyn. Maybe they wanted the thicker DeBrusk over Connor? :dunno:
Mistakes, as it is paramount to figure out and draft BPA regardless of need.

By now we should look at draft records periodically, attached to a scouting team or any person organizing the scouting in the org.
For example Stevie Y's track record, looks stupid good and it's because he knows and sees things others don't.

It will never happen, but replacing Strome with Bergeron would complete the forward group, and I like Strome
LOL...I'd never say never......one does not know how the Bruins are looking at things and we could give them a real dandy offer without taking much away from the existing and the future line up core and make Bergeron fit the term past this year of 2-3 seasons . We probably are not Cup ready this season[at the moment]....but we likely are not that far removed from it either . Remember Gallant took an expansion club already to the Finals....so it is not a new thing for him and I tend to think we have some nice playoff pieces in place via the off season moves . Adding a Bergeron and a cheap rental guy or two could change a lot of things for us . It might be the best use/combo of our trade chips of Kravs and Othmann and our surplus D futures and first rounders . Who would/could be available next season that is any better than Bergeron is and would take a 2-3 yr term at similar numbers ? I doubt that is a long list .

He stole my soul when he forgot how to f*ckin' score goals in the Stanley cup finals.

We didn't have enough scorers was the problem, they just double teamed him and our donkey coach put Richards, our most clutch playoff scorer on the 3rd line to play defense ffs.

I was talking about how Eakins was encouraging his young players to try things and how different that approach seemed to be under DQ a few weeks ago.... saw this today and found it funny

Not that I hate DQ like some around here, just makes you think about what he was telling Kakko and some of the other younger guys. We all gush over Zegras, but he likely gets the same short leash if he was a Ranger.
Players don’t need to make fancy plays to be good though. Kakko’s whole game is puck-possession and meandering through defensemen, which we’ve seen him try to do plenty of times. He’d get knocked off the puck like a fly by NHL defensemen, like he didn’t expect it to be much harder than in Finland. It’s looking kind of moot anyway since he’s been continually improving.

Don't like where this is heading...They better not be thinking of this and second off we'd have to play the Caps.

What’s the problem? Caps are 2nd and we’re 3rd. It’s the playoff match up as of today… if you want to go through the Atlantic we’d have to fall to the wildcard. Chances are we’ll have to go through the caps anyways so what does it matter if it’s round 1 or 2?

I did not see a Will C thread .....not sure if this has been posted or not . Hopefully I will cross paths with coach Dave Cameron this Spring and I can get a good scouting report on Cuylle for us Ranger fans . I also missed the darn game last night...LOL.....watched the first 3 episodes of Cheers ....flashback time right now with no Ranger hockey .

Vasilevski on Covid list,
NYR due to face Tampa twice this week

The next time an NHL team "double teams" someone will be the first time.

Richards was completely cooked at the end of the playoffs. 2014 Hagelin was the ultimate defibrillator and even he couldn't revive Richards. And what player on Earth would complain about playing with Hagelin and MSL, lol. I don't know about any of this "3rd line to play defense" noise. Sounds like you've been playing too much chel.

He was cooked, yes, but Hags was not the ultimate defibrillator though. Hags was great along the boards, fast AF, limited vision and passing skills, and couldn’t finish for shit.
