My rationale is that they’re not the only team in the conference that plays good defense, and the other teams that play defense can score more than Boston can.

They have had a ton of injuries and are the best defensive team in the conference. They helped themselves at the TDL and are starting to get in a groove.

My fiancé and I are in 100% agreement that we just saw Marc Staal and a couple other Red Wings on the patio at Happiest Hour in Dallas ahead of their game with the Stars tomorrow. Popular downtown chill spot close to the stadium/whatever hotel they’d be at. He’s pretty distinctive looking with that height and red beard.

The Islanders are frustrating to play. They give up quite a bit but somehow make that last backcheck to break up a play that looked like an A+ scoring chance.

Flyers playing well, scoreless after 1.

I still can't figure out what smoke and mirrors the Islanders have used the last two seasons. I guess playing a great system. But they don't have that much talent.

I think they are overrated. Philly is outplaying them badly so far. They were playing like total ass last year and were going to miss the playoffs before the season was ended after 70 games. We were exactly 1 point behind them. Then they took advantage of a 4 month break and made a run until they played a real team. They have a good coach, good goaltending, and play solid defense. They only have 1 or 2 guys who consistently creates offense and miss Lee badly. Hell, they had Komorov playing on the 1st line. Washington, Pitt, and Boston are all better. If this was an 82 game season we would catch them but with only 11 games to play that is unlikely. They will be lucky to win 1 round.

I don't get the Lee hype. Seems like a slightly better Kreider.
