Colorado is a year older than us... does that mean we should be competing like them next season? or is the youth excuse not applicable to them?
I mean, a lot of people have been hoping that Kakko can become our Rantanen. Rantanen was over a PPG in his D+3. Highly, highly unlikely Kakko makes that leap next year.

Is anyone here taking bets on Laf being Mackinnon like anytime soon?

McDavid with 60, Draisaitl with 50. Next is Kane with 42. Insane. 110 points through 34 games for those two. Would really like to see McDavid on a competent team.

A) That’s exactly what Rantanen did.

B) People weren’t even taking bets on MacKinnon being MacKinnon four years into his career.

It’s so easy to look back in retrospect and say “well duh, of course so-and-so just became awesome, because he is awesome”.

So the NHL Trade Deadline is 40 games into the season but also 2 months later than the normal NHL Trade Deadline?

Are they trying to microwave my brain?

Flyers have given up 3 in every game, covering all 11 games in the month of March. Last below 3, Feb. 28th a shutout vs Buffalo. Imagine that.

2 wins at 4-3, 2 wins at 5-4 (1 vs Rangers) Total of 51 GA.

In comparison, Rangers have given up only 27 in March's 11 games.
Of course that includes 3 consecutive bad losses vs Pitt & Bos. equalling 13 GA in those 3 games.
Subtracting those games, and its only 14GA in those other 8 games. 14!

We will surpass them in standings.......sooner or later. (I doubt later though)

Nugget. Caps are 12-0 when surrendering 2 or fewer.
They have Howden to thank for that perfect record continuing.

WTG Howdie Doodie!

Just like to mention that Mackinnon was not an elite player until his 5th year in the league.

Ah yes. The Krieder, lias and a 1st for MacK is too much debate of 18...

MacKinnon had a great start and rookie year. We have not had any of that. He then stagnated/underperfomed for 3 years ( putting up 50). Kakko's beginnings are no where similar to MacKinnon. Laf as well. We can hope they find MacKinnon type success but I dont see how its applicable.

MacKinnon in year 2-4 was considered a bust/broken (still putting up 50pts) . Stamkos in his d+1 year was considered a bust. They both have out performed our #1 and #2. We'd be doing cartwheels if any of our top 2 picks were producing like MacKinnon.

Maybe there's more to the PP than just stats. Maybe it helps build and maintain confidence.

Wild start in the TB vs FLA game

FLAs puck movement and speed is impressive. I'd love a coach like Quennville

The bar-none two best goaltenders in the world since Hank stopped being that (2015?) sitting at 76th and 77th.

That this week in "f*** goaltenders, never give them money ever"

Bob is just not that good. Gibson on the other hand, has no defense In front of him since Lindholm and Manson have been out. Not all on him. Watch some Ducks games which I caution you, lol, and you will see.

Yeah Gibson is a tough situation right now. That Matt Murray contract this summer is looking rough.
