I don’t see Torts wanting an ADA nor do i see ADA blocking shots every game. Tough situation and likely best to avoid . . . unless there is some JD relationship which can iron out a situation which could send the wrong message to this young Ranger team.
 


NBCSN is about to be no more. I would think Fox and ESPN are high on the list of the NHL to get a deal with. Maybe they can land deals with both like the NBA has.

NHL will be best served to get on ESPN/ABC.

ESPN+ is growing. UFC's growth has been tremendous when they joined ESPN. They could lock on to that same demographic/market.

Well, they already have a deal with ESPN+ and show games. So, they already have one foot in the door with ESPN. I would hope they tap into FOX as well. The other three major sports, and the MLS all have deals with multiple networks. The one exclusive network format for a sport is pretty much done. To grow, they'll need to be on multiple channels.

if they were smart they would stream all the games on peacock app for those that are subscribed. or for those that want it free and to go to a hockey website well if you PM me I will send the streaming link :)

Probably both. NBCSN has their live sports, but their show listings are just not good. FS1 was actually able to create their own shows and build a lineup of live TV. ESPN obviously has all their sports related shows as well.

As for the money aspect, I would think they just don't get enough subscribers to their channel. For the longest time, if you were traveling and staying in a hotel, that channel was just not in their lineup. I can remember being in Vegas with my father and I wasn't of age to gamble or be in a bar, and I was looking for the Red Wings/Pens when they were in the final. It just wasn't on the TV.

I'm sure that has changed, and it is likely anecdotal when looking at the bigger picture, but their biggest sport is played in the morning or afternoon and their 2nd biggest sport is #4 on the totem pole in their home country. No big college sports deal. The A-10 isn't drawing people in to watch. That has to be a big deal when it comes to the network's viability.

Something that might have been minor at the time, but when Notre Dame and Clemson were playing during the season, and the president-elect was going to address the nation, and NBC had to go away from the game, they put it on USA. NBCSN is their sports network and the biggest college game they could broadcast all year needed an alternative channel for it to be on, and it was not put on that channel.

Just get the feeling that the rangers are out of the running for PLD. Usually when we’re in the running everyone knows about it. Just as well if it’s a bidding war. Chytil looked great tonight anyway :)

Jack Edwards is awesome. Well he’s hilarious anyway.

The Avs guys and their fake-ass voices are children.

Like Sam and Joe would be giving so much credit to the Ducks right now, while these guys are acting like it’s beneath the Avs to even have to play them.

Dallas had COVID, couldn't play or practice , first game after a stanley cup loss hangover, and demolish Nashville 7-0. 5 powerplay goals plus a shorty lmao.
 
Glad Gorton didn’t pay out for PLD, I don’t want to imagine what our Laine/Roslovic would be...
