Signing in TB has definitely worked out for Shattenkirk. Took a pay cut but not a bad gig to find himself in the ECF.

Well his buyout salary plus his new contract make for a pretty nice payout to be on a contender.

No one over 17:30 for tampa forwards. 4 over 17:30 for Islanders. Less games played and more depth to spread the minutes around. Tampa is much fresher.

That was a clinic tonight boyz by the Bolts. If they even play 80% as good as they did tonight, they'll win the series.

Islander are going to need to do alot of soul searching as they have to be wondering to themselves that this is a totally different animal here in Tampa compared to the other teams they just dealt with.

Listen I hope I'm wrong that this series will end up being a long one. Next game will determine whether this goes 5 or if it goes 6-7 cause if Tampa wins and gets this to 2-0, no way are the Islanders even as resilient as they are, coming back from that.

OK...I feel good...I feel relieved and I'm going to sleep like a baby tonight. Thank you Tampa.....GO BOLTS!!

Is it true the Lightning didn't miss the net once tonight??? I mean Mcdonagh would miss the net about 5-6 times a game when he played for us.

They had 35 Fenwick at all-situations (Fenwick = unblocked shot attempts), and 34 SOG.

So yeah...they missed the net once.

Mind-boggling.

Has that every happened before? Honestly if someone asked me before this game if that was possible I'd say are you out of your mind?
