AV with quite the outfit in the post game presser. Reba! staring daggers into the tv screen watching at home...

I feel insane but I would much rather the Islanders win this series. AV and his smug face winning in Philly would be straight up terrible.

Trotz is the new Jacques Lemarie though. Ruining hockey one system at a time.

Lose los situation.

As long as Boston/Tampa stomps a mud puddle into who ever comes out of that series, I don't care.

Go Western Conference!

There's not one angle that showed the puck in, but I guess the call was good goal originally.
Yeah, even the angle that SN just showed is still wonky b/c the pads/sticks/puck are all up in the air.

That's the one big issue with the current system. They have to go with the call on the ice because the ensuing review could neither definitively say it was a good goal or not.

We need goal-line technology now. It's not THAT difficult to manufacture.

If the AVS can learn from these games, and make the necessary adjustments as they gain experience, they’re going to be a major pain in the ass in the west for a long time.

But part of me can see an Achilles heel in the lack of depth they have beyond their stars, and the price they are paying for not being able to consistently find talent outside of first round picks - especially guys in the top 10, 15, or so.

I can see a team that is going to potentially have to deal core level talent for depth unless they start figuring out how to identify guys with later picks. And that’s going to become more difficult if they find themselves in the playoffs from this point forward. Because they’re not longer going to be able to stockpile or rely upon those high percentage draft picks.
