I hate Tampa too but they look heavenly next to any other option out of the east rn. Gonna begrudgingly root for them. McDonagh getting a ring would be cool I guess.

In terms of quality of Hockey, Philly-Boston and Vegas-Colorado would be GOAT.

I’ll gladly accept one of Boston or Philadelphia (preferably Boston) coming out of the East as it means the Islanders are eliminated.

In the end hopefully Vegas or Colorado wins it all, Vegas would be preferable.

Watching the end of Stars/Flames I still maintain that changing the rules so a goalie can't jump on a puck to freeze it out of the crease would make for a better game.

Not happening. They played a lousy Florida team and a clearly declining washington team without Backstrom. They have played well and I give them credit but they are not beating Boston, Tampa, or Philly.

Caps have lost the thread. They started chasing the series the moment Lee took out Backstrom. It's funny the part injuries have played so far. It was almost as soon as Fast got hurt that we lost a lot of our mojo and the same happened to the Caps with Backstrom and arguably with the Canes losing Svechnikov puts them behind the 8 ball.

Barzal would have been crazy to fight Hathaway. 1) he's a much better player 2) Hathaway's no stranger to fighting and would no doubt beat him up if it were allowed to happen 3) Barzal's team is up with all the momentum and in that case you let the other team do the dumb shit.

That said I hate the Capitals. That said I hate the Islanders even more.

Caps have honestly looked pretty bad since the round robin games. They beat Boston, but Boston also looked like NYR level ass until the 3rd period last night.

I don't see them getting beyond the 2nd round.
