I just woke but how doesn’t it? It’s the worse of the 2 picks so if they both advance ... TO wins round 1 and Canes lose it’s the TO pick

Technically next round matters but still take Them out of the equation now

This isn’t accurate. If they move on Toronto would have to make it to the conference final for it to be their pick and Carolina lose in the first or 2nd round for it to be the Toronto pick. If neither makes the conference final, it’ll be the Carolina pick.

Gotcha , if I said Canes win and Leafs lose it’s Leafs ... anyway Leafs losing takes them out of the process

Seriously, it's crazy how in 2020 people in the Tri-State area are without power for days
 
@aufheben @Amazing Kreiderman @KirkAlbuquerque Yeah man, 3.5 days for me. I drove around for an hour on Tuesday night to charge my phone so I can watch the game. Then spent the next three days working in an office that was not my office and coming home to sleep in the dark.

A tropical storm during a global pandemic. Strange days.

I leave right at the part halfway through North Jersey where the terrain transitions into forest and hillsides. Too many goddamn trees.

Look, don't take this the wrong way or think I am bashing the US but it's so strange to me to hear people be without power for days! I have been without power for an hour or so at age 11 or 12. It was a Saturday. Lightning struck. My dad, my brother and I played trivial pursuit, and power came back on before we finished the game

In the Netherlands, you get reimbursed for the month if your power is off for 12 hours straight.

New York is an old state arrogant state with outdated infrastructure but I'll leave it at that. Still love the Rangers/Giants/Mets/Knicks.

Back to hockey talk to keep it relevant, so what are the brackets now? Who do we want to see the Islanders play against?

Isles have either Boston or Washington right? I could see them beating Washington so Boston pls

Want my honest opinion? I don't give a flying f*** :laugh:

I don't watch hockey in August. I watch rugby in August. I hike the mountains, I spend my weekends in vineyards. I watched last night because we had 3 series impacting our draft spot (and all 3 delivered). I will watch highlights from now on.

My friend who roots for the Blues, I'm having a hard time talking to him as he's getting amped up and I'm just like "yup, you guys are playing alright."

I'll watch Monday night because it's draft lottery 2.0 but other than that, too busy with work (I am essentially one of four alternating As if you know what I mean) and the YouTube/podcast show my friends do.

The winner of the Flyers/Lightning will play Montreal. The loser will play CBJ/TOR. I think the winner of Boston/Washington will play the Islanders and the loser Carolina. I'm hoping for all the top seeds to win.
 
Since the Avs just pulled their goalie and it helped them getting 3-3 with a minute left, I am getting curious. You have stats for everything except underwear changes: Are there stats for how often pulling the goalie actually pays off instead of getting an empty netter against?

For NHL teams in general or for the Rangers? Because if it’s the Rangers it’s probably a <0.01% success rate
