I’m a Sacco - smart guy, high character, played, local.

He would have looked smart if McAvoy & Lindholm played last games is my take

I have the worst takes so limited knowledge so I wouldn’t go by my opinion
Not a fan of his, but I think it’s more that they need to go outside the org for some freshness and actually reset the pecking order in the leadership group along the way. It’s stale and everyone is far too comfortable at the moment. They need uncertainty of a whole new staff

Fair

He is well respected and treats people well no matter who you are - was one of best local players I ever saw and very experienced

I want to see what he does with Lindhom- McAvoy pairing

His decision to put Zacha with Pasta & Geekie was excellent

Lohrei & Poitras both have improved under his coaching

He wasn’t afraid to bench Marchand and it had a positive effect

To me it’s a no brainer but I got several DMs over years I don’t know fill in the blank

You don't feel he's better served on a playoff-bound team hoping for a long Calder run?
I think he’s best rolling out and getting 2 PP like has and rolled with Pasta & Geekie on PK assuming they kill them

16 minutes

Bruins are best served to me picking 8-12 and never ever trading a 1 definitely or 2 for a rental

Let’s retool a bit

I’m not in his camp.

The Bruins have massively underperformed, yes. And they need to restock, not tear down.

However, the PP and PK alone, cannot be this bad with this roster. To me if coaching can’t move that needle, they have to go.

I can't remember, did Lindholm get hurt before or after Sacco took over?

Those are fair points, but I think some pretty solid negatives have also been raised, that don't need to be rehashed.

Nice guy, good character, done some good things as you said. But this is a tough business, in which only a few truly have what it takes and there is only one objective that matters.

Bottom line is this, do you believe Sacco is capable of coaching a team to a Cup? I don't, hence I want him replaced. Simple as that.

I can't remember, did Lindholm get hurt before or after Sacco took over?

Before, by about a week I think.

Can't imagine Sacco coming back as the HC.

Team will be much better when he has been replaced.

Really think they let Monty go too quickly.

Agree on Sacco. But Monty had quit on the team and made very clear he had zero interest in coaching this particular roster. He had to go. Good coach with the right group, but this wasn't it.

I love Marchy and I am absolutely pro retool but I am shocked about his words. A true captain would say that they are still in the race and evetything is possible. I can't believe that he is already waving the white flag
Not the words of a leader with 22 games left to go.

That may be true, but is there anything concreate that substantiates that?

No smoking gun, of course. But go back and look at the press conferences from November, look at his demeanour behind the bench, look at his manic, directionless line blender, look at the times he basically threw his hands up and said 'I don't know what to do'. By the end I'm convinced he was just begging to be fired, knowing he had options elsewhere.

Just my interpretation, but I'm pretty confident on it in this case. The circumstantial evidence is solid.

100% correct imo

3-5-2 down the stretch leading to the deadline.
There can’t be any doubt what path to take… right?
Right!

Saveman gave up 2 goals last night. One on a well-placed shot and the other on a rebound with no B's defensemen in sight and he gets most of the blame for the loss.
OTOH, the B's talent-challenged offense scored one goal.
Sometimes it is the goalie's fault for a loss, but blaming Saveman most of the time is definitely misdirected.

63 would be about almost 800 years old by 2027
Maybe. I think you could sign him to a team friendly 3 year deal though and Eichel's arrival could coincide with his farewell. He might no longer be top line material but occasionally as a fill in and solid leadership in the bottom end. Bit like Recchi did for us way back.
