Just remember, Q chose Oduya and Rozival over this kid and forced Bowman's hand because of the salary cap issue.

Happy for Leddy and the Isles.

Even if Leddy was moved up to 2nd pair, how do you propose working the cap around 21mil in your top 4D and 21mil in your top 2 forwards? It was never going to happen with Leddy. That's 30mil in cap space to fill out 11 more forwards, and 3 more Dmen, and 2 goalies.

Term is fine ,, Price is not

Leddy better continue to improve or that deal will be a mistake

I cant believe Leddy and Bolland will both have 5.5M cap hits going forward ,, LOL

Man, certainly understand trading him for something now.

Say what you want about keeping Oduya over Leddy, or vice versa, but we weren't extending him for anywhere near that amount. At least we got something promising in return.

I still don't have issues with keeping Oduya over Leddy because when the season ended last year, Oduya was much more important to the teams success than Leddy.

Good for Leddy. I want to see how good Pokka is before I call trading Leddy a bad move.

it is a horrible move however you slice it...what Leddy could have done for us this year would have trumped Oduya in every facet and given us more cap flexibility...we traded away a 23 year old PMD nowhere close to his prime and kept a worthless has been in Oduya..this is Stan's biggest blunder

Oduya got carried by Hammer last year and it was proven to be the case this year. Leddy is a better defenseman and has even more upside to reach.

of course you don't...you defended that human turnover machine left and right as he was protected by Hammer night in AND NIGHT OUT....Thank God his measly 5 points this year is really helping this team out...he has 30times the turnovers then he does points this year...

Wonder if you'd say this if Leddy wasn't from the states.

Right, terrible top 4 Dman on a Cup winning team going up against the best the other teams have.

Oduya looked better because he got to play with Hammer. Plenty of threads last summer where I said Leddy could absolutely play Oduya's role if he got to be paired with a top pairing defenseman.

Oduya is terribad, but we still couldn't afford to keep Leddy.
