I don't know why they're doing this. Montoya's obviously struggling and he's gotta have very limited movement.

Just risking injury.

Reminds me of when Harry Lumley was in the Wings organization in the 40s. He had been sent to the minors but was in the stands that night when the Rangers' goalie went down (back in the days when teams only carried one goalie, so the home team was expected to provide a replacement if the starter went down). The Wings volunteered him as the Rags' replacement, and he actually whitewashed them. Jack Adams said, "the best Red Wing player tonight wasn't even wearing a Red Wings uniform!"

This is just criminal mismanagement. Florida's practically asking for Montoya to get injured longterm.

They're not doing their playoff hopes any favors risking injury to their backup and having a guy that's obviously struggling in net.
