Chipchura as #1 C... Oh my god.

I Wonder what it feels like to be Brandon Gormley right now, once a great prospect now ruined by Dave Tippett. He is scratched again tonight. Wonder what it would take to get him of their hands?

I think he is a good player with a future in this league. With Oduya and timmo gone after this season there might be a spot open.

Just based on his talent, Gormley would be a nice addition for next year. Plus he'd be a regular with all of Timonen, Oduya, and Rozsival most likely not re-signing.

HF Boards has reached a new low. There's a thread on the trade board asking posters if they'd give up their 4 best prospects + their next 2 first rounders for the 1st overall pick.

Through 9 pages, I think maybe 90% of the posters are saying no. No. No, as in they'd rather hold on to prospects than have as close to a guarantee as you can get that you'll have a generational player on your team. It's the stupidest thing I've ever read here.

How anyone outside of the team picking 2nd overall says no is just, AH! so stupid! It's actually making me angry

For reference, that would be Bowman getting a trade proposal of Stamkos/Tavares on a cost controlled ELC for TT + McNeil + Johns + Paliotta/Carrey + 2 firsts and him saying "Nah, I'll pass"

I think I might pass on that too, there is no 100% guarentee that the #1 will be that great, and giving up that much is quite a bit.

If Vermette's name was Alexei Vermatov you would have thought it was the greatest trade in franchise history.

False

There are plenty of Russian players I am not a fan of (Semin for example)

The kid was best G prospect in world at time of draft. As of now I am fine with TT but if he flops in longrun that draft will be hard to look at knowing that Vasilevskiy was still on the board and then went right after TT

I would say

Oilers F > Sabres F > Yotes F
Yotes D > Sabres D > Oilers D
Sabres terrible G duo = Mike Smith = Oilers terrible G

Oh man the battle for McDavid will be epic among these 3
