Was checking out the Debbie board as I'm apt to do seeing I either want to read why they feel inferior to us or why they aren't as good as they thought they were. Well tonight was the latter with some saying their season is over which is pretty laugh out loud ridiculous but I do understand where they are coming from...they look absolutely awful thus far at this early juncture of the season.

They are losing it and quite frankly if I were in their shoes, I'd be very concerned about pretty much everything. There lines have no rhyme or reason from my observations of them over 4 games. There D corps absolutely blows. Subban I dunno man...he seems like he has lost a step as he doesn't look as quick and fast as he used to be.

Ironically Schneider played pretty well for a guy who gave up 4 goals. He had no support whatsover and the score shoud have been more like 7 or 8-0.

Debbie are a mess and like someone said earlier...I forget who but he compared the Debs to the Jets and he's 1000% correct. All the hype and good feelings heading into the year and so much hope for a good season maybe even playoffs and instead...it's a dumpster fire.

Still very early and they can still turn it around but unless something miraculous happens with that overrated lineup, I can easily see them finishing bottom 5 and once again a serious contender for the #1 pick next year.

My lord would that suck and them getting the #1 overall for the 3rd time in 5 years and them possibly getting Lafreniere. Man would that suck bigtime. Alot of projecting tho...still very early as I said but lord do the Debs suck bigtime.

The chiclets guys made a good point about Schneider before the season started. Most goalies are trash the year after hip surgery. They banked on him returning to form after that procedure. So kudos on that front, I can see him playing well again. But they also had the devils earmarked for a great season, so there's that too.

Love the Chiclets guys, they are very smart and great to listen to, but because they are players first and foremost I think they tend to think with their hearts rather than their heads, and don’t really delve to deep past the surface on a lot of things.

Devils have some good pieces up top, but their D sucks, their goaltending is questionable and their coaching is not NHL level. My hope is that they go down in flames early in the season and then do a late season push so they finish 14th and think they are better than they really are.

There was literally an article posted yesterday on ESPN by Greg Wyshynski talking about the Rangers vs Devils and how they're doing in the rebuild. In said Kakko is clearly off to a better start than Hughes (and actually said Hughes has been hurting the Devils), said the Panarin was obviously a bigger add than Gusev, but then said the Subban is a bigger add than Trouba. I was like, ehhh, you sure about that, Greg?

Hart is the key there. Watching that save last night I said to myself “ahhh shit the Flyers have a goalie.”

Agreed. Though Mittelstadt has looked pretty ineffective thus far to me. He has a terrible Corsi and xGF. Two assists in four games.

Subban is so overrated it is not even funny. is also a much bigger whiner than Crosby yea I said it.

Devils and Sharks look awful so far. i think the Ducks are surprising so far along with Sabres, and Oilers. Bruins are doing their usual thing.

Hart ain't elite just yet. Shutting out the Devils on 20 shots is not that hard to do right now. Remember a week or 2 ago when he got yanked after giving up 4 weak ones against a f***ing Swiss team? He's an elite prospect but hes just another young goalie right now. I know you all hate AV here but he is a good coach with a real system that pays dividends for a team that needs it, especially in his first year. Flyers fans are loving him so far (and getting frustrated with usage lol)

Aside from one season (where overall it was quite comparable) Subban has been a far better player than Trouba. I think it’s more outlandish to claim Trouba is a better player than Subban.

I like the start Trouba has had though. It certainly makes the discussion more interesting.

EDM will be 4-0 by the time we play them on Saturday. They play the Debs tonight. EDM picked up James Neal this off season and he scored 4 goals on the Island last game. Should be a good test for us come Saturday vs McDavid and co.
