Bergeron, Pastrnak, Krejci are probably the only players on that team that are likeable

Agreed...I'd add Rask to the mix as well. Like I said about Pasta, I have heard him in interviews and watched him play a ton obviously. Seems like a very easy guy to root for especially if you have him on your fantasy team.

Fantasy btw has totally changed the way I have looked at opposing players of the Rangers going on 23 years which is one of the best things about it. Now players you might have hated, you might not cause you own him...lol

ohh Kevin Hayes a great chance 1-0 lead to AV! Kevin Hayes took the backdoor and SCORES! 2-0!! :thumbu:

Namestnikov scores again. Watch him score 20 this year. They couldn't even get a long shot prospect for him but settled for some scrub with no NHL career

Marchand is one of those guys like, not sure you remember Pat Verbeek..aka.."The Little Ball of Hate", if he's on your team you love him. If he's not, you can't stand him tho you have to respect how good a hockey player he is.

Not going to lie, I've found Marchand's likability to be an acquired taste --- even off the ice. And I'm not alone in that take.

Yeah as with @Brooklyn, I haven’t acquired this taste you speak of. I have seen him on that behind the scenes show they had on last year on NHL Network with the Bruins and sure he was painted in a good light obviously and seemed like a nice enough guy off the ice.

It is Marchand’s on ice antics that are at times reprehensible which leave me with a sour view of him whether or not he’s a nice guy.

His repeated violations over the years of slew footing players as well as spearing which are two of the “unofficial rules” a player doesn’t break as its part of this “code” players have with one another is a huge reason why he is is not liked by myself as well as most if not all opposing fan bases despite what a good and talented hockey player he is. He comes across as a dirty player and some of his actions are indicative of this whic is not appealing.

Bottom line for me with regards to Marchand is the way it always has been: find me a player any game he plays in who is willing to clock Marchand with a legal check which knocks the wind out of Marchand...I be a happy camper and I’m positive I’m not alone in that!

I loved Hawerchuk. Guy had a ridiculous Hall of Fame career and yet he always felt underrated.

He was always an interesting case study. He played in relative obscurity for Winnipeg in the 1980s, and to a lesser extent Buffalo in the early 90s, and would've been a front line star in a large market. But then he also never eclipsed 100 points again after turning 25, and due in large part to injuries, was essentially done as a feared scorer at age 31.

A healthy Hawerchuk, playing on top longer and for a top team, easily challenges for 600 goals and 1600 points. He is also a criminally underrated playoff performer, often as the rare bright spot on teams that never got very far.
