Both are good #3 defensemen in ideal scenarios. Girard is a better puck mover. Skating a wash. Skjei's defensive positioning for the most part is better than Girard's. It's close, but I take Skjei all else being equal.

Even if they give Rantanen $10M, they'll still be extremely comfortable cap-wise. I wouldn't be shocked if they tried making one other move to really load up for this season.

All on AV and Hank. I remember a key goal scorer by Karlsson from behind the goal line and the insistence on trotting out Staal-Holden with leads late in games. One of the most frustrating things I have watched in sports.

Plenty of space for Kreider or Namestnikov. Even both of them if the Rangers retain 50% on one of them.

The Nino/Rask section was absolutely brutal.

Literally did 0 scouting on Rask before making the trade. None. Zilch. Fenton didn't even ask Eric Staal who played with Rask a single thing about him.

Carolina now has a guy who went 13-16-30 in 36 games with them and Minnesota has a guy who the Hurricanes were going to buy out at the end of the year.

The game 5 Sen's goal to make it 2-1 to me was the most sickening after Hank couldn't clear it out of the zone. After a beauty by Fast and Holden's ripper of a shot We had them and that was the turning point IMO. But I digress ...

Kreider makes a lot of sense for Colorado. Establish that top-6 and go for it
