I'm still in the trade-for-Zegras camp.
Would rather trade for Zegras than fork over 4+ MM cap hit over multiple years for Kane. Or some bananas contract for Stamkos.

Not exactly shocked the NHL announced this in the middle of Free Agency day when the news would get buried with the signings/trades. What a bunch of scumbags/gutless cowards.

Lightning D Hedman has new 4-year, $32M deal
Defenseman Victor Hedman is staying with the Tampa Bay Lightning on a four-year, $32 million contract, signed Tuesday.
Glad to know that he's getting paid as much as Trouba. honestly, even though Hedman and Reinhart are signing Florida state deals, I hope they can drive the numbers down a bit for the likes of K'Andre and Laf. Same with Edmonton players. It's wild how many players they've added despite having giant contracts on their books.

Ottawa would probably be the absolutely least likely landing spot for Trouba. I think it's more likely that he would play in the KHL, than in Ottawa.
