I am not suggesting the Pens buy him out now. I am simply pointing out how the situation can get worse. Its a fallacy to say it can’t get worse. Because it can get worse!Exactly what are you envisioning Jarry doing that would make any end of year buyout untenable? Hazing rituals? Devil worship?
The Flyers had an actual toxic player in Anthony Deangelo and bought him out when the time came without any discernible damage.
Whatever make-believe scenario you're imagining, it'd either be fine to buy him out at year end, or it would be so bad that it would constitute breach of contract and the Pens could terminate the deal.
