lol, he kicked at the puck as he fell. Could of been ugly with the blade coming in hot.

It's amazing how good the Panthers looked breaking out against the rangers, everyone just said they were too good and NYR had no chance. Oilers just want it, they don't let the Panthers breathe and ever since the oilers increased their intensity and pressure the Panthers have been cracking

Speed kills, we lack it in a lot of our roster.

Teams rolled over for them all playoffs. Now Edmonton is pushing right back. It's nice to see.

Rangers had the second and first picks in back to back drafts. Kakko busted and Laf is on his way to becoming a star. Generational no but thems the breaks.
Rangers should have drafted Seider in 2019 lol. Seider has more points than Kakko and in 64 less games and a defenseman.

Kakko is 7th points with 117 from the 2019 draft and 2ed in games played with 300. Hughes played 6 more games than Kakko.

Wasn’t Seider considered a reach at the time when Detroit picked him? Imagine this board at that time picking him second lmao

This is a big part of why when players like Wheeler are brought in, or toffoli is talked about, or other players that are average to below-average skaters are brought up I cringe. NYR is a slow team and not a great bunch of skaters. Adding more weak skaters is just going the wrong way.

You can pressure and maintain an effective forecheck with a slow team that can't cover ground.

It's one thing to bitch at our scouts & second guess picks like Lias & Krapsoft, but Kakko was the consensus #2 player that year. Every other team in our slot takes this kid.

Two things happened that we could've done differently....we should have kept him in Finland a couple of years & we should've done more to help him improve his skating.
