It's one thing to bitch at our scouts & second guess picks like Lias & Krapsoft, but Kakko was the consensus #2 player that year. Every other team in our slot takes this kid.

Two things happened that we could've done differently....we should have kept him in Finland a couple of years & we should've done more to help him improve his skating.

There's no way to gauge how slow he is without bringing him over here. Keep him in Finland and he would have looked "normal" against European competition.
