I hate that review honestly, totally didn't affect the play. There are other things in the game I'd rather see reviewable than this.
there are so few egregious offsides calls that warrant review. really isnt in the spirit of an offsides rule to be reviewing something thats millimeters off. especially when a defender isnt stepping up to cause the offside.

Classic unintended consequences situation after they created the rule

This call is the number one most frequently missed in the whole sport. I just can't be sure that any goal is a good goal anymore when it goes in.

It takes enjoyment away from the fans.
That & the fact that offside was obviously intended to keep guys from hanging in the zone...What they're doing isn't really in the spirit of the rule. It's like a bang bang play at second base as opposed to the neighborhood play when the 2nd baseman is 2 feet away from the bag.

I think this is a worse problem in association football but overall I agree. Offsides is not meant to be called at the micron level in dynamic sports like soccer and hockey. Technically the right call but it had zero affect on the play.

That Sharks uniform in the Geico commercial is better than the real Sharks uniform

It affects that play if a player is in the zone before the puck. It's pretty cut and dried.

I don't care about that call, I care that offsides review is just a bad thing in general. It needs to go away already.

Remember Knob coached that one game for us due to Covid Gerard and we won like 7-1 in the middle of stretch where we couldn't score for shit, and Knob was instantly banished to Hartford, never to be mentioned again?

Yeah, I remember that.

You're being disengenous here. The millimeter Reinhart was ahead of the puck had zero effect on that goal.
