Coyotes players finally told about team move to Utah. That fan base has been through hell with that franchise; shitty owners/shitty arenas, shitty hockey management since day 1. They're heading in right direction hockey wise, but when the team is ready to win big, they'll be elsewhere. A kick to the groin for their fan base.

Oh look at that. Carolina about to win a game against a desperate team that they needed to win. Go figure. They now have Chicago and CBJ left.
Going in hot is a good idea. I really hope Rangers didn't just give up on the last 4 games. Cause Carolina is winning out.

losing in round 1 to NJ and NYI in back to back years might put a lot of us in the ground
yep. Honestly don't care if we play the Pens (unless the Wings or Caps make a miracle push) or the Islanders I just want us to play well these last couple of games.

No matter who we play, the team will be hot going in. Rangers need to match that energy by closing the season out right. The past two games is sweep or in 5 loss behavior. Cut that out now and win them both like it's for the cup.

I’d personally much rather play the Islanders than the Penguins right now. Call me crazy.
You are not crazy. The Pens would be a tougher matchup but there is still no guarantee they finish in WC2 position though. They are only 1 point ahead of Detroit, Washington, and Detroit with 3 games to play. Rangers need to win their next 2 games. I doubt they do though.

Well ironically beating the islanders makes it more likely we play the islanders, as does losing to them
Not sure about that. If we beat the Islanders (even in regulation) most likely the Islanders finish with 91 points. Even as well as the Pens are doing I don't see them going 3-0 in their last 3.
It's more likely we play the Islanders for sure if we lose to them tomorrow since I don't see how the Canes don't pass us if we lose. Actually it would be pretty much a guarantee we play them if we lose to them tomorrow.

No question. The Canes are winning out. If we don't win both games we finish 2nd in the division and losing to the Piles tomorrow would all but guarantee we play them in the 1st round.

Carolina last two games vs CHI, CLB
Boston last three games vs PIT, WSH, OTT
Florida last two games vs BUF, TOR
Dallas last two games vs SEA, STL

I care more about the race to not play Tampa in the first round more than the race for the President's trophy.

That's the least likely thing to happen now. The Rangers will either win their next 2 games and get the 1st seed or finish 2nd in the division because Carolina is going to win out. Neither scenario has them playing Tampa.
