Letang takes out Barkov whether it was intentional or not, and Florida goes after him the rest of the game. Meanwhile the Rangers are the softest team in the league.

I enjoy the fact that even though they're on a 16 game win streak, they're still only 3rd in their division.Good on the Oilers for being close to a historic streak. While 90% of the teams they have beaten on said streak are out of the playofffs.
Don't get me wrong, we lost to the Sharks. So good on them for beating the teams they are supposed to beat. But I don't see them as this clear cut favourite to win the SC above the rest of the good teams.

The fact that the Rangers are still 1st in the Metro shows A) how bonkers their start was and B) how depressing they've been for the last 1.5 months to not keep that spreadAnother banner night in the metro, Carolina probably gets the 1 seed, but there’s no reason for the Rangers not to have home ice in round 1.
Still looking for what they can do against top competition, because they haven't really faced it during this stretch. And I got crucified on the mainboards by Oilers fans for bringing this up.Its easy to forget just how rough their start was.
they have also played 4 and 5 games fewer than Vancouver and Vegas respectively. Asking them to make up 12 points on Vancouver is a bit much, but I've seen crazier shit happen.
Canucks kind of remind me of St Louis of 2 years ago. Almost everyone on that team is having a career year. Difference is their goalie is actually good.
There is a slight nudge that could be called as interference but agree, Barkov lost his edge. Florida ends up with dumb penalties but they manage the W.It looked to me as if Barkov lost his edge. I don't think Letang touched him.
Meant to say they are rowing on (towards the play offs presumably). Not clear what's happening in Buch's celly
“You thought Marcel Hossa was good for 80 points?!?! You fool! Take a hike before I have to call security. Sicko…”Potential employer: "Ok we just need to read your HFBoards history and we should be set".
Me: "Nevermind i rescind my application"
EwwwEdmonton‘s streak must be giving Bettman wood

It's impressive, but I have a hard time drawing conclusions about them being the top contender based on this streak. Its true but 16 in a row is impressive regardless. They're basically a shoe in to bump that to 17 in a row.
Good teams lose to bad teams all the time though so I don't think that really diminishes what they've done.
