Do you remember the apocolyptic posts about how Dolan is going to sink this franchise with his meddling? Drury had his own "fireable offense" trade with Buchnevich. But that one at least seemed more about giving the young guys an opportunity and the cap. Miller was just a throw in in a McDonagh trade that sucked balls to begin with.
We don’t know the whole story of course but Drury walked into a situation where he had to move Buch. He had crappy offers to choose from. Of course Drury may have been part of the decision to not extend/trade Buch earlier. But we don’t know. Anyhow Buch is not quite on Miller’s level I think.

Love the f***ing standings right now. Always old and always slow islanders and your preseason Stanley Cup champion new jersey devils fighting to stay above the DOA Blue Jackets. I'm wondering if their idiot fans are starting to worry about making the POs now that we're 1/5 of the way done.

TBF I think Islander fan have given up lol.

The Islanders will fire Lambert much later than they shouldve and still sneak into the last wild card spot because of Sorokin

Maybe not this years version of Sorokin who hasn't been great. Varly has been awesome considering what he has in front of him though.

Its gonna be hard for them to get in because those other teams (Pitt, NJD, Philly) are objectively better than they are. Washington is a paper tiger, but at least they're on par with NYI with a bit of a cushion right now.

LOL NJD fans are REALLY taking Saturday's loss hard.

Not that I'd expect this place to be the epitome of reasonable had the Rangers lost but holy shit the amount of copium being inhaled by all 11 of them is at an all time level.

This caught my interest so I went to the Devils board and there was a kid earnestly talking about how he has a "friend" who could beat up Lucic and Trouba.

Confirmed my suspicions that their entire board is a bunch of teenagers

I mean, if you're friends with a legit MMA fighter then sure those guys could probably beat up a lot of pro athletes

but also...why? who cares?

Man, I was assuming that your post was going to end with a mob reference.

He sucked last year when you're of a certain age your latest season is important. I know Quick sucked last year too but it looks like Allaire has helped him more than Halak last year.
I didn't think Halak sucked last year. His W-L record sucked early on because we were scoring once a game for him.

I do agree that Quick has looked much better and that the coaching seems to have helped him a lot.

I never bought into the Allaire hype as much as most because, like, he had Henrik Lundqvist and Igor Shesterkin. If he continues to get dominant play out of Quick, I'll be a believer.

Halak didn't get much goal support but sucked himself. It wasn't just win/loss record.

Hoglander match penalty for attempt to injure after review. Dunno if Canucks got stiffed. Looked worse in slo-mo.
