The clock is ticking to when McDavid tells Ken Holland to get him the hell out of there. Draisaitl may not be far behind him.
not saying you're wrong and Holland hasn't done a good job but when is it the players responsibility to actually play a 200 foot game and not just look to put up 4 points a game?

Ducks are losing, but some good things…

McTavish - 2 goals
Leo - 1 assist
Mintyukov - 1 assist.

Ducks are 1-2 years from being a real force.

American Thanksgiving is here. 75%-80% of the teams in playoff spots on this day end up keeping those spots. There are some bad teams this season in both conferences. Edmonton is 10 points out of the WC. The West is so bad. The Devils were supposed to win the Cup this season.

Caps doing so well is wild but I feel fairly suspicious about it holding up
Still got themselves in a good spot for now at least.

They beat Vegas but their schedule so far looks kinda eh on the difficult teams but someone will say the same for the rangers

Columbus should be f***ing ashamed of themselves for letting the devils get ahead of them. It's a slugfest at the bottom of the conference. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

Best bit is that devils fans think it's all down to goaltending and nothing to do with being a one trick pony that the rest of the league has figured out this year OR letting two of their better Dmen walk OR being babyshit soft OR having a horrific coach OR having no accountability among the Fs for backchecking OR .... But it's the goalies that are the reason they're not in first overall.

Injuries are valid but also yeah this looks like the comedown from an unexpectedly good season before

The injuries have certainly had an impact but they’re part of the package with their 2 centers.

My guess is we haven’t seen the last of them missing time this year. They were very lucky to get healthy seasons out of both of them last year.

Washington and St. Louis are the only real surprises for me.

Count on 5 Atlantic teams making the playoffs this year. NYR, NJ, Carolina make it from the Metro. Boston, Tampa, Florida, Toronto, Detroit make it from the other division.

Edmonton needs to ride it out. Tampa missed the playoffs and got swept in the first round the two years before winning back to back Cups. The Canadian media is going to force McDavid out. Repeat history and come to New York to win a Cup like Mark Messier, Connor.

Not sure Zibanejad waives to go to Edmonton. Deal him to a team he'd agree to go to for futures and depth and parlay some of that to Edmonton to get McDavid. Even minus Chytil and Kakko, this team with McDavid has a good chance to win a Cup.

Detroit is not making it. So many holes on that team.

I'd bet on one of Pitt/Philly getting in though Philly entirely depends on whether or not Torts insists on running Staal/Risto out there on the regular when they're healthy. They've been pretty good (like for real) with out them.

Philly is two years ahead of schedule. Tortorella doing a master class with what he has which is astonishingly little. Sound familiar?

Detroit gets in if their goaltending holds up. They're a good team with depth. I expect they'll add at the deadline to make a run. How many years without playoffs for them?

Pittsburgh is going to run out of gas. They're an injury to Karlsson or Letang and Crosby or Malkin away from losing every game 5-3. Jarry blows.
