Just watched the Islanders game. They're f***ing finished and their hope of surviving into a PO spot and then hoping for an upset seems unlikely. They need to commit to a rebuild: shitcan Fraudulent Lou, trade Sorokin to a team desperate for a goalie, trade Dobson and Barzal as well and just build up a mountain of picks and prospects. That's the only way to turn years of UNENJOYABLE suck to HOPEFUL suck.

I think Sorokin is too young and too good to trade. I never like these burn down the house rebuilds. We traded JT Miller, how good would he look as our #1/#2 center right now? Also how glad are we that we DIDN'T trade Kreider. And this was Kreider from before he became what he is now.

Yeah, Dobson, Sorokin, Barzal are young enough to keep.

The Red Wings are 2nd in the Atlantic division. Thanksgiving is 12 days away. NHL teams look at American Thanksgiving when looking at their playoff chances. It was 77% of the teams in playoff spots at American Thanksgiving made the playoffs in the cap era a couple of years ago. It's probably in the same range. The league seems watered down. The Rangers have an opportunity if Drury makes the right moves and some of the Rangers players have good playoff performances. Panarin. Zibanejad. The cap has drained teams of their depth and they don't have much space to fix their flaws. Some teams have flawed goalies. Carolina. They can't defend. Toronto has flawed goalies and they can't defend. Colorado was better in their Cup year. No Landeskog. No Kadri. No Burakovsky. No Compher. Tatar and Drouin haven't been good. Johansen was given away at 50% retention.
I always read your posts as if a narrator is setting the background for a movie.

“…Europe. 1944. The world stands on the brink of defeat. All that lay in the way is…Chris. Chris Drury”.

Edmonton fires him after a win lol

"We won. You don't fire someone after a win. "

"It was an expansion team"
