But doesn't speed also come from having a structure and a game plan, players knowing what they're supposed to do out there instead of just going out there and hoping for the best? I never played the game but it seems you have to know exactly what roles everyone has. If that makes sense.
I would agree that it does, but you have guys like Panarin & Fox intentionally slowing the game down. It's been the same with 2 coaches now...it's the culture of the way these guys want to score pretty goals. They think they're too good to go to the net & battle for loose pucks & rebounds.

Yes. It's so frustrating and infuriating.

As I stated about 20 minutes ago, I'm firmly in the camp that the roster construction was the main culprit. Gallant isn't without fault, but our total lack of speed or any significant grit was going to get exposed at some point.

We're so slow that this guy is moving faster than like half our roster

I’d kind of love to throw a bag of money at one of RBA’s assistant coaches and get them to come over and teach their systems. Then I get sad and remember that it would never work with our Roster because it requires never taking a single shift off up and down the entire lineup every single game.

I know we beat them last year, but I’d rather see my team go out like the Canes last year than how the Rangers did this year.

Schmid pulled again? LOL!! But..but...it was so easy against the Rangers!!!

He was playing a team that was pretending it was all-stars skills competition style of hockey.

What an insane stat.

5 games - 2 shutouts and 3 yanks.

One is vs a good team, the other was a team of players wanting to go on their vacation. Big difference
