Crazy playoff so far. TB, Col, and Boston out in the first round. Toronto rolling. Very post-modern.
We're the underdogs tonight. hope they pull off the upset. This is deep.
We are the team to beat.
We are the only ones that can beat ourselves.
Bob has beat Tampa and Boston. He's the Regular Season King Slayer.Just realized that Jim Montgomery has now lost in game 7 OT for the second straight season.
Guy has horrible luck.
Agreed@chosen Guess we'll call it a tie on Boston and Colorado?
Montour seems like a beast but how does any team in 2023 win a playoff series with Marc Staal in their top 4? Bruins fans were lamenting about their third pair being on for so many goals against...finding 6 capable defensemen who can play in this league is really hard. Lots of fans hate their bottom D. We're not the only ones.
I imagine it's a bit like trying to win with Trouba in your top 4.Montour seems like a beast but how does any team in 2023 win a playoff series with Marc Staal in their top 4? They lost Weegar and Marchment in addition to Huberdeau, and Duclair missed most of the year. Duclair is back, but he only had 2 goals in 20 games (after potting 31 last year) and has only 1 goal in 6 playoff games. One year is a bad sample and looking at the previous year is a very overlooked aspect of gauging how teams will perform.
The Panthers won 58 games in 2022. They're the same team except Tkachuk is a straight upgrade on Huberdeau.
You can't apply it to every team but Florida leaped off the page for me as good value.
Montour's year seemingly came out of nowhere. What a bargain deal Florida has him on for another year. If he puts up another season close to this one, he's set up to cash in exactly when the cap is going to go up $10M.Montour seems like a beast but how does any team in 2023 win a playoff series with Marc Staal in their top 4? Great career for Bergeron if he does decide to retire. Just realized that the last time the Leafs made the 2nd round was Bergeron's rookie year.
This reminds me of Schneider from Kakko and Kakko
