Possibly correct about Nolan. Philly fans seem to think AV will utilize him as a RW.

If that were the case though, you’d think Philly would target a winger Instead. We saw Hayes play both positions and he’s definitely better suited at Center.
Yeah it's a head scratcher

Vince Dunn a difference maker in a series like this. Edmundson is garbage. The 4th line of the Blues hit everything in sight. Barbashev really impressive player.

Right now the Bruins defense is closing in on how our defense was in the 2015 ECF.

The Flyers want a center in the worst way to bump Patrick back to the third line. They think he was overmatched as a number two last year and needs more time to develop (official hint, this could happen to the Rangers in the future too) Hayes (who is a center in the worst way) slots in as a number two and if/when Patrick matures, he drops to a number three.

I just find it interesting that after the Flyers finally got out of cap hell (after how many years?) they seem to be headed back there soon.

maybe they don't want a losing culture papa

Man, the Blues must've been a tough team to play against last night. That was a heavy, heavy pressure game. Boston is exhausted this morning. They play like that in two of the next three games then we've got a new Stanley Cup champ in Missouri.

That is definitely a concern with the Rangers and why you didn't see chytil at center more last year IMO. Problem with that we have though is that it's not just one kid. If you want chytil, howden and Anderson to all play center and gain experience then only way to avoid one on the 2nd line is to rotate them between center and wing I guess

They could always run giroux, couturier, and Patrick if they're that worried. And then go get a winger instead. Hayes is a bit head scratching....

Chara is so bad, if I were Boston I'd tell him to take a few weeks off to rest his face.
Chara is an emotional catalyst for that team. He stayed on the bench last night and didn't play because that's how important he is to them to just be there.

So how does @bernmeister spin this so as not to be wrong on his Hayes back to the Ranger a la Chapman to the Yankees BS?

No spin necessary.
I am NOT wrong on possible return to Rangers,
and

deal wuz by Wini to Philly for purposes of getting dibs on possible signing
Hayes has full UFA rights
can still go where he damn well pleases once ufa kicks in, what July 1st?

Kev is still able to sign with us, if we offer and he accepts
A free asset, depending on term and cost, we should prob bring him back and deal other assets to repurpose.

Again, I see you are SOOOOO quick to see me wrong.
You jumped a false gun, which just went off in yer face.
Undone.

He wont be back.

He's a bad-play machine. The bench is probably the best place for him.

Yeah, they knew that going in. A 1st and Lemieux for Phillys 5th, those are things fans don’t forget.
We did the same with Yandle. Most TDL acquisitions walk for free, at least the Jets got a 5th. I think they knew all along they weren’t re-signing Hayes

It was speculated by Ryan Whitney on spittin’ chicklets podcast chara broke his jaw. Only way he thought chara would be on the bench and not play. He thought you can’t sit on the bench if it’s concussion and if it was just stitches he would have gone back out
