The Bruins are winning the cup. The stars have aligned for them. Leafs, Jackets, Hurricanes and the winner of Blues-Sharks is the easiest road that an Eastern conference team has gotten in a long time.

I sign Panarin. We need to be back in the playoffs ASAP. Two bottom 10 teams peaked late and are in the conf finals. Whose to say a young team with a reinvigorated Hank can’t do the same in 2021? An expansion team almost won the cup last year and could have been in the conf finals this year. We need to be in the tournament sooner the later.

Lol. A good team might figure a way to get into the playoffs even if they weren't in the playoffs the prior year.

If it was up to me, I'd probably trade Kreider but not sign Panarin.

Having said that, I think trading Kreider and signing Panarin is a possibility --- especially with Kakko coming on board. I also think the odds go up if they are able to land one of their targeted players in this draft.

Sweet no cup!

It's definitely a change from the usual "you have to beat PIT/WSH/TB" story line we're used to seeing in the East. Boston could make the SCF having faced none of them. All those upsets in the first round really shook things up.

After watching this game I honestly believe that this will be the only game the Bruins win. I just think the Canes are the better team but a decent amount.
Their pk worries me. Even that was the only thing that gave the Islanders hope. If Boston gets calls and pp its gonna be very tough for Carolina. 5 on 5 tho you're right they would have a chance to take it

It's funny how we tend to fall into the traps of just all disliking the same teams.

In reality, if you asked me at the beginning of the year who I don't want to win the cup, it would basically be:

Islanders
Devils
Pitt
Flyers
Toronto
LA

After that, I couldn't really care less which team comes out on top. But as the year goes on and we watch more games come playoff time, we begin favoring some teams and loathing others.

For me now that the draft order is more or less set and we know where are picks are going to be I have less interest in what the remaining outcomes are going to be.

The Rangers look like they're going to have a massive talent influx next year--Kakko, Kravtsov, Fox, Shesterkin. They'll join a previous wave that includes Georgiev, Chytil, Andersson, Howden, Hajek and Lindgren that's been supplemented by Lemieux and there is another wave coming that includes K'Andre, Lundkvist, Rykov and Barron. I think it will be important to have some vet leadership that can get them on the right path. Zibanejad is one guy--we're going to need a few more. Moving Kreider or not I'd be after Panarin but I'd be a lot more willing to move Kreider if we did get Panarin.

I wonder who Don wants to win:sarcasm:

I will say one thing to defend him here (And don't kill me for it)
Cherry actually worked within the Bruins organization. He has ties to that team. Him picking that suit, as hideous as it is, is not an issue to me.
People blow it out of proportion because they play the Hurricanes, the team that was referred to as a bunch of jerks by him. Let's not read too much into this

The Canes seem like a resilient bunch, and dominated play for long periods of time last night. I fully expect them to bounce back.

They had won 6 in a row at this point in the playoffs. You can't win every game
