Just doesn’t seem fair for a team to remain on a power play after committing a penalty that led to a penalty shot. Perhaps give teams the option to take the 2 min PP?
Yeah. I've always thought the penalty shot penalty, being considered worse than a normal penalty, should be a power play if the penalty shot fails.

Before Joe just said it I was thinking about how dangerous MacKinnon is entering the zone with the puck on his stick... Speed, Stickhandling, Explosiveness, and a deadly Shot... It's exciting/entertaining just watching him carrying the puck up the ice...

I am a little afraid of STL just being too much for Dallas. Who knows, but they are just killing Dallas on important face-offs, they do a better job in front of the nets, there is really no part of their game that isn't good, while Dallas has bigger issues in some areas.

When you get to Game 5 and beyond, those things usually play a pretty big factor. But who knows, if Dallas can take that series it just shows how extremely open the game has become. Was watching SJ-Colorado, damn there are some pond hockey-ness over that series with Burns and Karlsson out on the ice 2/3 shifts, Jumbo plays what a fourth of a game. There are smaller differences between that sport and other sports like Baseball, Bowling, Golf or Chess than there is between that sport and a game with Calgary Flames in it in the 03' POs (almost ;))...

So 3 “best of 3” series and one “best of one” series remain. Would be very funny if all the semifinals were composed of only wildcard teams. First Time in professional sports? We should nonetheless wind up drafting at #2 + #19/#20. Plus a pretty good chance at getting an unexpected bonus in The #28-#31 pick. Not bad. At all. There are still some possibilities to get more high draft picks too. Or young player(s). Let the Russian Invasion begin. Fox Hunt is over too. Stay the course!

I hope that the Rangers want no part of Karlsson. He's such a defensive liability these days.

Yeah I don’t think the Rangers are going to even make an inquiry. He is going to want to get paid. Just don’t think that is the direction Gorton wants to go.

Oddly enough, with all their success this season, I can see the Stars making a push for him. They will have $18M in cap room at least next season. There is a chunk of RFAs that I'm sure they will walk from. Team is in a win now mode. Their right side is Klingberg with UFAs in Polak and Lovejoy. Re-sign Zuccarello too. No state tax in Dallas could lessen Karlsson's cap hit too.

I agree. But I was also impressed with his quickness and how he dominates and throttles the power play. Rangers don't need him at this point, doesn't fit the timetable, and he'll be too expensive. But he's still really impressive.

Hes had a much better series against Colorado.

But the Fox move kind of put a nail in that coffin.

Dallas has been the better team in this series which is what worries me.

The Blues have a level that Dallas hasn't seen yet that they can't match. I hope they don't find it (and Binnington pumpkins soon).

Yeah, or we are just underrating Dallas. Who knows... ;)

Its like with Seguin, Benn and co., you think that they have been around for so long and always scored a lot but never made any noise, so they seem kind of harmless. But they are playing really well when they are on the ice even if they are not scoring, and that really rattles first Nashville and now STL. They want to get a hold of you and then just pour on with their depth and speed, but then every third shift someone hits the ice and makes their D look stupid.

So its easy to think that if you just figure them out, you will get Dallas fairly easy. But OTOH its kind of funny, these guys have actually been pretty snake-bitten so far during the POs. They have created a ton of chances for every goal they have scored. They have combined for 10 goals in 10 games on 136 shots, and the average quality of rubber they put on the net is pretty high. Benn has 2 goals in 10 and Seguin 3 goals in 10, that isn't even that much.

All we can do is hope for the best. :)

I'd rather have my ears cut off then listen to this lady announcer. On mute, listening to Miles Davis now. Much better.

During the last game when there was an interference penalty from a late hit (someone had passed the puck up ice and was in the back of the play so they didn't have the puck for a good 3+ seconds), and she goes "Looked like a clean hit to me", and the other announcer goes "..except the puck was nowhere near him and it was interference."
