Even though it SUCKED that game went to a shootout, it could have been much worse. At least the Jets didn't win. We've got a point on them and a game in hand. Rangers need to go 3-1, regardless of whether the Jets lost in regulation, OT or the shootout.

Jets play the Sabres, Capitals, Canadiens last 3 games. Can't imagine them winning all 3 of those games.

Assuming Jets go 2-1 in those 3 games, if Rangers go 2-2 next week they'll get in.

We caught plenty of breaks last week. It all balances out. Good teams don't need to worry about the out of town scoreboard anyway. Bottom line is a W tomorrow and our chances of a playoff birth are pretty darn good. Just take care of your own business and it will work out.

Assuming the Sens win their game in hand, we'd be closer to the leafs than Sens point wise. Like someone I the playoff thread said, the first tiebreaker is points. ROW are useless if you have less points

Canadians will have nothing to play for. Will role 4 lines and will probably play backup goalie

Tor (53 pts) remaining games: Ott, TB, Fla, Mon.
Ott (52 pts) remaining games: Tor, Pitt, Was, Phi, Bos
NYR (50 pts) remaining games: NJD, Car, Fla, NJD

Unless Tor ***** the bed they're looking (at worst) a 2-2 record in their final 4 games. Leaving them with at least 57 points.

Ott has won their last 4 but none of their next 5 are gimmes at all.

Ott has to face Tor - who is at this point desperate, Pitt - who is back to regular Pitt hockey, Was - who is hot AND desperate, Phi - who can surprise a team who takes them for granted, and Bos - who has hatred for Ott and also will be playing hard for that #2 seed.

Root for Ott to lose. Them sliding is far more likely than Tor sliding.

Forget getting in. You want to avoid the Pens at all cost going into round 1. Crosby, Malkin, and possibly even Neal will all be back and healthy enough to play. Refs are also disgusting in the playoffs in favor of the Pens. Need to avoid at all costs in round 1. I'm hoping the Islanders get them and sweep them.

I worry about getting into the playoffs, before I start scouting potential 1st round matchups.
 
Of all the teams, I'm looking for WSH to fall out of place. We're destined for 7th 8th or 9th so I'm not worried about the leafs.
 
Can't not get in the playoffs with the lose of our 1st round pick to Columbus

While we've been 5-2-0 in the last 7, we've gained no ground at all on anyone, that's 4 teams. Crazy.

Just shows you can't depend on any other teams to do any favors. you guys will be fine with the teams your going against
 
Price does not rank in the top tier of goaltenders. Some games he can be absolutely wonderful, but taken over a longer sample size, he just does not steal enough games for his team.
