How does Ladd having a good year have anything to do with Tavares being talked about for the Hart? Where would the Islanders be without Tavares? Same place the Jets would be without Ladd.

If the Jets lose in the SO, here are a few pluses: Isles have only 1 more ROW than us so we can be in range with ROW despite being 3 points back. Because the Jets have 2 more ROWs than us which we're probably not going to catch up with since they have 3 more games and we have 4 and therefore need to win 2 more ROW than however many they win. So a tie between the two teams will favor the Jets. 48 and 49 points have a slight benefit because assuming there there are no OT left for them and only Ws, whether they tie us or get 1 more point than us to take over 8th seed, it's all the same. That is assuming there are no more OTs or OT points for each team cancels out of course.

Im glad the Isles won. Id rather have WPG behind us then worry about the ISles making the playoffs at this point. 8th or 7th isnt going to matter much, imo. Pens/Habs both teams weve struggled against for years. In fact Id rather play the Pens than the Habs considering we cannot win in Montreal, ever.
