Haha Leafs...

Feel pretty bad for their fans. Things were actually looking pretty good until they completely fell off the face of the Earth with that 8 game losing streak.

MLSE keeps making the same mistakes previous owners made. It is too bad for Leafs fans. Some are worth sympathy, while many of the vast Leafs Nation horde are fools who were planning the parade in November.

I personally think McGrattan in CGY is the best fighter not only pound for pound but in a respect sense aswell. He'll never take advantage of a guy and doesn't use fighting as just an excuse to goon it up during a game.

I remember he fought Mclrath at MSG i believe and told him good job kid afterwards.

Gallant is not really a big guy. He's about 6' and maybe 200 lbs. He's been kicking the crap out of AHL heavyweights for the past 2-3 seasons. He is Tie Domi tough. More often than not he's giving away 3-4-5-6 inches and 30-40-50 lbs weight. His win-loss is really good and he has fought McGrattan. McGrattan won but it was no runaway and McGrattan is much bigger--it was a closer and fiercer battle than McGrattan-McIlrath. The problem with Gallant is he's Tie Domi tough but maybe just a little bit better than John Scott good as a hockey player. Gallant is not like Prust (though he has similar size). Prust has beaten bigger guys more with technique. Gallant prefers just to stand and throw. More of a rock em sock em robots style.

As I've said McIlrath has gone with this character twice and done pretty well. Dylan has the ability to play in the NHL--he just has to improve in a couple areas. A much better player than Gallant--he should be able to hang with the heavyweights as well. It's part of what makes him an unique package. At the AHL level Gallant like Eric Neilson, Letourneau-Leblond, Robins, Rechlicz and a few others are the guys you fight if you want to build your reputation. McIlrath has fought a lot of the right guys. McIlrath when he makes it to the NHL will find the right guys there too.

Kris Letang returns tonight, 10 weeks after suffering his stroke. major major kudos to him, but it makes me nervous. hope it all works out for him.

yes, its going to be 60 minutes.

If they're replaying the full 60 mins you'd think they'd wipe out Columbus's goal. Why not just pick it up from the time the game stopped? Is it in the rulebook somewhere that games that are postponed restart with a full 60 mins?

The lightning are going nowhere if they don't have Ben Bishop, setting the East up for a potential Boston-Montreal series, always fun.

Caps facing what's basically a must-win and Halak asks out because he doesn't want to face his old team. I'd give him the rest of the year off with that ****...

Bad job by Oates not keeping that in the locker room. Oates has sounded like a guy on his way out for a couple of weeks now.

Lindback is so bad. Is Vasilevski available. I'd almost prefer him. Kid looked like an absolute stud in the WJC and had a good year in the KHL this season. They will be out easily in the 1st round with LIndback.

Also, regarding the CBJ - DAL game tonight, Horton will be credited with a goal, but likely won't even suit up for the game due to injury.

Damn, he's officially out. They're ****ing done against the Flyers. The Lightning are not that good of a team without him.

They haven't been that good of a team with him since the Olympic break. Bishop hasn't been the same goalie since then....

Bishop since the break: 9-6-3 2.79 GAA .904 Sv%.

Maybe the Bolts will actually rally together and put together a solid effort for the first time since they played Montreal.

so glad we don't have to score board watch

Only if we win our last two.

I see us needing some help. Flyers need to lose one of these games or they will have home ice.

We should manage to beat Buffalo but @ Montreal i'm not feeling good about that.

Really I'd like to play Hank in both games regardless of what they mean. We still haven't clinched a Metro spot so no doubt he should play tomorrow but I want him to play in MTL too. What if we face them in the playoffs? Can't hide Hank from MTL forever.
