Because sweeping the puck to the middle of the ice and not into a corner during EN play is a good idea

When I watch Tampa I am somewhat reminded of the mindset the Rangers had in 1993 and 1994 when they made moves because they needed more than just pure skill to succeed.

When we talk about why teams make a Gartner for Anderson deal, or trade an Amonte for a Matteau and Noonan, this is usually the motivation.

Not saying the move itself always works, or is the right move. But it does spotlight the mindset behind such an approach.
Think they would like to add someone like Ferland?
 
Do really still want to offer Yzmeran the job as team president? This team he just put together couldn't even make it out of the first round and he bolted early without seeing everything through. He got out managed by JD in this series.
