So much for the narrative that he was back to himself and we lost out. Clearly he was exposed here and we again cut bait at the right time similar to Miller and Stepan.

I was good with the trade when it happened. One thing I don't believe in in general is second-guessing and looking backwards. How McDonagh turned out was no longer anything I thought about.
I think about Zuccarello and want a good future for him. Ain't no other Rangers traded in the last umpteen years I care that way about.

There really isn’t one trade of ranger veterans for young guys that has worked out exceptionally well for the other team in the last 3 years.

Stepan. Brassard. Nash. Hayes. Any of the Tampa guys. We’ve maximized that talent to restock.

Too small of a sample. We need to test it out with a Staal trade.
