And, if you really want to talk "crunch time", when the Jackets season was on the line and they were fighting Montreal and Carolina for the last three spots in the final few weeks of the season, Panarin just had a measly 3 Goals and 8 assists in his last 8 games when it really, really mattered.

I mean, I get the trepidation with whatever contract he's going to get. It's completely warranted. But labeling him as a guy that disappears when it matters simply isn't accurate.

Never said last 19 games. He had a 19 game stretch with 2 goals and 11 assists. That’s about half his average production which is garbage. I think we’ve beaten this dead horse. I don’t want him. Just my gut having seen terrible free agent contracts for decades. Want Marner or just try home grown for once.

Very true tho NMac has been full beast mode since the beginning of the '17 season when he rededicated himself to his craft.

You know what the crazy thing about NMac is, he's still only 23 years old. If I didn't know any better, it seems as if he's been in the league for 10 years and he'd be at least 27 or so....lol

I feel like he's completely reverted to this pre-Rangers form...and then some.

Talk about a guy who we either timed perfectly, or who was just tailor-made for those Rangers teams.

In the NBA it’s impossible to confuse the 8th seed with the 1st. In hockey it’s impossible not to. Every series looks like evenly matched teams.

While good for competition, it’s bad for morale. At least the NFL gives top teams a bye. There’s no point busting it for 82 and being a top seed in the NHL.
