Yep. The Ducks win and they have 71 points. The Jets lose one of their games in hand and remain one point up on Nashville. It's better for the Rangers for Nashville to win the central.

I’m going to the Anaheim game tonight. Was at the Rangers game last night. Feels like I’m taking the Tank-a-thon tour. Lol

Super important to win your division this season, esp in the West, considering the quality of the wildcard teams compared to the top-3 in each division. The only exception is the Metro if the Isles manage to hold on to a top-3 spot, which is far from guaranteed.

Not out of the realm that the #3 slots in Metro/Central/Pacific are Canes, Blues, Knights and that all of them make the conference finals. Toronto making it out of the Atlantic is possible, but much less probable considering just how good the Bolts are.

Leafs in Buffalo. Back to back game for the Leafs. They lost in Nashville last night.

Go Sabres. Buffalo is only two points up on the Rangers.

The Leafs next game is Saturday night at home against the Rangers. Andersen should be in nets for the Leafs.

The impact of a headcoach is minimal anyway
Yeah. I’d agree with that. This isn’t the NFL. You can get away with average coching as long as there is talent.

Compare the final four coaches from the NHL last season to the NFL this season.

Gallant, Maurice, Trotz, Cooper vs McVay, Reid, Belichek, Payton

I’d say Trotz and Gallant are very good while Cooper and Maurice are pretty underwhelming. Whereas for the NFL those are pretty much the four best coaches in the sport.

That's because the NFL is much more based on tactics. Hockey is a free-flowing game where instinct, talent and ad hoc decisions decide a game. There's also more luck involved in hockey.

Realistically the Leafs would have to beat the Bruins who own them, the Lightning who have dominated the league this year, and likely one of Pittsburgh/Washington who are the last 3 Stanley cup champions.

They may beat the Bruins but I have a hard time believing they are making a serious run.

casey Mittelstadt with a real nice goal. His 11th of the year. 1-0 buffalo. Gonna sting if he becomes a legit first or second line player.

If we had him people would be complaining about effort or some other dumb ****, like they've been with Chytil

Zucc close to returning too. They are starting to look more like a playoff team instead of just a bubble team.
That is because of all the "hope" that Zuccha brought in that period and a half, and what he can do to help this team big time. Sometime during their 4 game road trip, he will be back. My guess is Calgary on the 27th. If I know Zuccha. He is just "itching" to get back in there. Pardon the cast pun.
