He went from being Hank's back-up, to being the starter on a badly run Edmonton team. I suppose there is an inherent difference in pride and comfort within organizations and he can't overcome that apparently. He rose very fast, went on a hot stint, big contract responsibility, got to his head maybe.

All in all overrated. Fringe starter, I suppose a really good back-up.

Hughes has Matthews type potential. Kakko imo is better then Svechnikov (comparing to where Svechnikov was in his draft year).

This is a very good draft this year.

Love Kakko. Just lamenting the fact that the Rangers aren't sucking enough to get him, and that many here are ok with that. And also just doing my standard complaining about our luck, and how we'll probably pick 8th this year and 1st in a couple of years when the #1 isn't nearly as coveted.

They're right on the periphery of where they need to be.

Really, you want to finish in the bottom 7 or so and then take your chances with the lottery. Lower would be better (And there is a clear path to a top 5 pick, especially if JG makes moves earlier rather than later) but we're positioned alright considering how lucky the team has been this year.
