Even with the prospect of Hayes + Vesey/names? All I hear on the radio and the little I know of Colorado is that they are the ultimate one line team- Mackinnon even suggested breaking it up. There is literally nothing after the top 3. Having say Hayes/Landeskog on their second line, with Mac and Ratton on their first, all of a sudden may do wonders, plus a Vesey/Names on the third for additional depth. Now all of a sudden they are a very different team with a heavy 1-2 punch.. Names has also proven his worth in tampa that he can play with the best- can possibly fill in for one of the top 2 lines

Some combination of Hayes/Vesey or Names and say a 3rd may entice them to let go of that Ottawa pick..
Would you give up the Ottawa pick for that package? I wouldn’t.

Hayes and Vesey/Names don’t get you a shot at Hughes or Kakko

Kotkaniemi just embarrassed the entire Florida panthers team. The Panthers f***ing suck

I keep going to back to the Stastny deal.

A first, Erik Foley and a fourth.

So with that as a reference point, what’s considered an extra click or two on the dial?

Is it a first and Jost? A fourth as well?

Are the Rangers even high on Jost?

That remains to be seen.

Blues fan, coming in peace. Was just stalking these boards and wanted to clarify on the Stastny trade. He returned a First and Foley. The 4th was conditional. If Foley (college player, 1 year from UFA) didn't sign with the blues, they would have gotten the 4th round pick instead.

So that's a prime example, is that click making the fourth non-conditional as part of a deal, etc.?

Does the second pick go away if a team is willing to part with a certain (non bluechip) prospect?

That's ultimately what I am curious to see --- what the price point is, and subsequently what the return is.

Pontus Aberg to Wild, Justin Kloos to Ducks.

Ducks need help up front badly and silverberg was just hurt last night, so kind of weird they'd trade someone with 11 goals on the year.

Aberg played for Wild assistant coach Dean Evason in Milwaukee.

But he’s going end up the fifth best selection in this draft behind Dahlin, Svechnikov, Kravtsov and Miller.

:naughty:

My biggest question/concern with Kotkanieni was/is ceiling.

He struck me as the kind of kid who could come in a pretty high level and probably maintain it for 10 years. But he didn’t necessarily convince me the building came with a top-floor penthouse so to speak.

The coaches challenge thing need to go in my opinion after this season - it`s a circus everytime someone score a goal. :)

still 4-1 lead for Ottawa, and Flyers with 3-2 lead in the end of 2nd - Boston start with PP.

Back of McKenna's new Flyers mask
