Still quite a bit of hockey to be played. I'd really like at least 3 of 4 points in the Toronto home and home series. That would put us in good position heading into the showdown with the Isles next Saturday.

It's all about setting up the perfect showdown with the Devils and Islanders.

I know it could be intense playoff like hockey against the devils the final week of the season...but I'd be quite happy if those two games were essentially meaningless (as far as determining whether we get in.)

I can't believe some are calling out Lou to be fired. Wow. Looks like they don't appreciate the best GM in the world.

I know we just got him but Derick Brassard says hello with 22 points ;].

Let's hope that he can provide some offense from the bottom lines + PP time. So far, so good. Him and Hags have set Boyle up for some glorious chances, which, being Brian Boyle, he didn't convert.

I'm excited about Dorsett. If you read the CBJ thread on the trade, it seems like the guy they were most upset with losing was Dorsett. Seems like a great guy to have on your team.

Right on. I hope Boyle turns into beast mode Boyle for our playoff run and beyond. Maybe that empty net goal in the last second gets him going... :sarcasm:

I think they were most upset about losing him because they don't have someone exactly like him to take his spot. That said, I'm looking forward to see what he can do for us.

I always thought that Boll and Letestu were in the same mold. Apparently, I don't know a whole lot about the Jackets! Were we upset that Prust left? Yes. Did we curse Sather out for letting him go? Some did, most didn't. Those fans were upset with him leaving more than anything.

I'm really not sure why they were more upset losing him than a guy like Moore who could easily be a top 4 dman on our team for many years to come.

Me neither, but if you look at the roster + prospects, the have some serious defensive depth.

Tyutin, Wiz, Erixon, Johnson, Nikitin, as well as prospects like Ryan Murray, Maidaisky, and Savard.

Moore's skating is outstanding though. That play yesterday was crazy. Rushed all the way from the opposing goal line, caught up to his man on the 2-1, in time to skate backwards! I think Torts can really work with this guy.

I'm getting really nervous  Keep checking standing irrationally...

I think we all like to take a peek and see how we're faring. But there's nothing like a win (or a few wines in a row) to make the standings watching much more enjoyable.

Exams, score board watching, playoff race, 3 huge games out of 10 against NYI, NJD with NJD on game #48. I am suffering over here

I second this. Maybe Hank will finally get a game or two off before the playoffs to rest
