Maybe ...maybe not. I mean if ever there was a risky signing. He bit in San Jose and despite putting up 8 pts in 12 games with NYR. He was a non factor in many of those games.

I have no problem letting him go AT 4.85 MILLION

I DO THINK we need to find some of what Ryan Clowe use to bring to the game... a few seasons ago

Agreed. Whole heartedly. Such a shame the Rangers have had the devil finding one these last ten years.

Either make a better password or take it down if it can be gotten into that easily. Guy looks like an asshat, I can see why Boston cut him loose.

By hacked he means one of his drunk Boston pals snagged his phone.

He's kinda a tool, hopefully he strengthens up. Like him as a player.

His password was probably 'baloney1'. Now they make you add numberrrrr.
 
clowe got paid for his past and his highest-end going-forward potential. his value at the moment is rock-bottom. so, regardless, the devils overpaid. it can work-out ok for them if he plays to his potential. but right now, he's not worth that contract. good for him, but i was expecting him to get way less. three years, nine million or something like that.

You didn't say this outright, but definitely implied it. The Bobby Ryan trade was not completely a reaction to Alfredsson signing in Detroit. The trade negotiations were ongoing before that. Murray even mentioned that he was trying to make that deal to Alfredsson when trying to convince Alfie to stay. That being said, Murray upped to offer from Silfverberg, Noesen and a 2nd to the same package with a 1st after Alfie left, so it's possible that Alfie's leaving made Murray more desperate and willing to give up that 1st.
 
You know you have great "friends" when you're a pro athlete, your friends know you can get in a lot of trouble if you tweet something stupid, and then take your computer/phone/whatever and tweet something stupid anyway.

It's amazing to me how many people in the media and elsewhere can get so worked up over a damn tweet. Always ready to get up in arms over something.

Still, stupid. But aren't there bigger things for everyone to focus on?
